OVERVIEW AND BRIEF
I worked with D’YAVOL on The Baddest One, a large-scale success party celebrating The Bads of Bollywood. The event brought together more than 2,000 attendees, including some of the industry’s leading celebrities, influencers, creators and entertainment personalities.
Unlike a conventional nightlife campaign, the event was directly connected to an existing entertainment property with a highly recognisable visual identity. The challenge was to create something that immediately felt connected to the world of The Bads of Bollywood while still giving The Baddest One its own identity as a live experience.
My responsibility covered the campaign from A to Z — establishing the visual direction, designing the promotional campaign, developing motion content, planning social communication, creating rollout assets, covering the event live and overseeing the post-event visual output.
MY CREATIVE APPROACH
The central creative challenge was translating the visual language of The Bads of Bollywood into an event campaign without simply recreating material from the series. I studied the existing visual world closely and identified the elements that made it recognisable — its typography, compositions, image treatments, attitude, colour language and cinematic presentation.
I then adapted those characteristics into a flexible visual system specifically designed for The Baddest One. The direction leaned into a bold, cinematic and entertainment-driven aesthetic. Strong typography, dramatic imagery, high-contrast treatments and celebrity-led compositions helped preserve the larger-than-life personality associated with the original property.
At the same time, I built enough flexibility into the system for it to work across announcements, invitations, countdowns, stories, reels, event information, celebrity communication and real-time social updates. Rather than approaching the project as a collection of individual posts, I treated the entire campaign as one continuous visual journey — from the first announcement to the final post-event content.
CHALLENGES AND EXECUTION
The biggest challenge was maintaining authenticity to an already established entertainment identity while adapting it to the requirements of a fast-moving live campaign. When creating an identity from scratch, the visual possibilities are relatively unrestricted. Here, every decision had to feel believable within the existing universe of The Bads of Bollywood.
Typography, image treatment, layout, motion and supporting graphic elements all needed to remain visually connected to the source material without making the event campaign feel like a direct copy. The profile of the event created another layer of pressure. With major celebrities, influencers and creators attending, content needed to move extremely quickly while still maintaining a premium visual standard.
Before the event, I worked across campaign planning, key visuals, promotional creatives, motion pieces, countdown communication and the overall social-media rollout. During the event, my role expanded into real-time content production. I worked on on-ground Instagram Stories, social updates, crowd moments, celebrity coverage and event highlights, allowing the digital campaign to evolve alongside what was happening inside the venue.
Following the event, I also worked across the post-production of photography and social content, ensuring that the visual treatment remained connected to the campaign rather than becoming standard event documentation. This meant that the creative direction remained consistent before, during and after the event.
IMPACT AND RESULTS
The Baddest One brought together more than 2,000 attendees and became a major industry celebration attended by leading names across entertainment, social media and creator culture.
The campaign successfully carried the recognisable world of The Bads of Bollywood into a large-scale live experience while establishing The Baddest One as an identity of its own. Real-time social coverage extended the event beyond the physical venue, with celebrity appearances, crowd moments and highlights being communicated throughout the night.
The project became one of the most comprehensive event campaigns I had worked on, allowing me to contribute across almost every stage of the communication process rather than focusing only on pre-event design.
MY CONTRIBUTION AND TAKEAWAY
I handled the creative direction and visual execution across the complete campaign, including the campaign design system, key visuals, graphic design, motion direction, content planning, social-media rollout, live-event communication and post-production approach.
My involvement extended from developing the initial campaign language to ensuring that the same identity remained intact during fast-paced real-time coverage and post-event communication. The project strengthened my ability to work within an established entertainment universe while still developing an original visual interpretation for a completely different format.
More importantly, it changed the way I approached event campaigns. Instead of treating branding, social media, on-ground coverage and post-production as separate deliverables, I began looking at them as parts of one connected creative system. For The Baddest One, that meant building an identity capable of living consistently before the event, evolving in real time during the night and continuing through the final post-event rollout.
